Game for Learning

In Play

Our focus is on the creation and development of interactive and experiential game-based solutions for training, workplace learning, brand promotion and communication. We have worked with UK and International companies including: Dresdner Bank, Morgan Stanley, E-Financial Careers, Royal & Sun Alliance, Metropole Television (M6) and Orange.

Experiential - REAL Workshops

Working in association with Many Happy Returns, We offer three interactive, experiential REAL Workshops (Reminiscence, Enquiry And Listening) for carers, nursing staff and voluntary visitors working with older people. They have been developed to supplement learning and to help people get more from reminiscence in conversation with older people, using Many Happy Returns cards as the triggers.

The workshops provide rich, fulfilling and measurable 'user-centric' learning experiences to help people learn and understand better and are also designed to lead to further, associated reminiscence projects.

Each workshop lasts 1.5 hours and includes supporting materials and fun 'homework' assignments. These workshops are currently being run with four Barchester Care Homes and an Independent Age Care Home.

We also offer RAP Workshops (Reminiscence Activity Projects) - bespoke activity projects wrapped around reminiscence and memories to help people express their stories, experiences and histories through creative investigation, interaction and presentation with younger people, carers, families and friends.

Fantasy

Game for Learning designs, builds and delivers interactive, on-line fantasy games for business, finance and media. We create fantasy games based on innovative and forward-looking ideas that can follow a traditional fantasy game style format, a business or trading exchange or a prediction style competition.

We developed our first on-line fantasy game in 1995, which at the time was one of the first web-based fantasy stock trading games of its type. Called ‘The Great Game™’ the current version can be seen on-line @ The Great Game.

Experiential/Pervasive

Through consultation, Game for Learning develops bespoke digital media based experiential games that simulate real-world situations in business and finance. Our games allow players to experience first hand many of the typical conditions and decision making skills required in business in a risk-free environment.

In 2007 we created Hunch a trading game designed for "live" use, that through interactive play, broadly demonstrates some of the typical experiences of working on a trading floor. It can be played by anyone and quickly demonstrates some of the dynamics involved in investment decisions - as well as many of the inherent pressures.
